Bevel Bit with Copper Lozenge
Bevel bit allowing mild leverage with a copper lozenge to assist with salivation
How to measure your bit:
A correctly fitting bit should have a fingers width on either side of the horses mouth. To ensure your new bit fits correctly measure the length of the mouthpiece from inside of the rings, as illustrated below. Most bits are sold in inches, although some European bits (eg Sprenger bits) are sold in centimeters.
Copper: A copper mouth makes the bit softer and sweeter tasting than stainless steel which aids saliation and makes the bit more acceptable.
